11:50 p.m. A dog bite was reported in the 18600 block of County Road G. The victim did not wish to press charges.

Sunday, July 4

1:14 p.m. Three male inmates were cited on suspicion of first-degree possession of contraband and one inmate was also cited for criminal attempt at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

9:09 p.m. A propane tank was stolen from a barbecue grill in the 700 block of Railroad Avenue.

Wednesday, June 7

5:50 a.m. An unoccupied RV caught fire in the 11900 block of County Road 30.2. The cause was undetermined.

8:23 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of having a dog not under control in the 11800 block of County Road 27.1. The dog allegedly killed a neighbor’s chicken.

Sunday, July 11

10:48 p.m. Someone crashed a vehicle into the marina gate and left the scene in the 27300 block of Forest Service Road 271.

Monday, July 12

6:24 a.m. A deputy assisted Mancos Marshal’s office on an assault investigation in the 40800 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Wednesday, July 14

2:42 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of driving without a valid license and failure to provide proof of insurance in the 400 block of North State Street.

5:30 p.m. A vehicle and trailer went off the road in the 30700 block of Highway 184. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

8:32 p.m. A man was reported as a missing person in the 500 block of Central Avenue. He could not be immediately located.

Thursday, July 15

3:39 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, violating a protection order and criminal mischief, as well as four active warrants, and a woman was arrested on third-degree assault and domestic violence in the 28200 block of U.S. Highway 160.

7:42 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of unsafe backing after a crash investigation in the 10200 block of U.S. Highway 491.

8:53 a.m. A vehicle caught fire in the 25200 block of County Road 38.1. The suspected cause was an electrical problem.

8:58 a.m. A found cell phone was turned over to law enforcement in the area of Colorado Highway 145.

10:23 a.m. Two men on motorcycles were inured in a crash, one sustaining a severed leg, in the 26200 block of Colorado Highway 145. A witness said a vehicle pulling a trailer was in the lane of oncoming traffic and the trailer struck the motorcyclists. One of the victims later died. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

12:23 p.m. A female inmate was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:18 p.m. A man turned himself in on two active warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, July 16

4:59 p.m. A female inmate was served four warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, July 17

6:10 a.m. A vehicle crash occurred in the 4000 block of County Road G. Colorado State Patrol took over the investigation.

10:42 a.m. A woman was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license in he 2400 block of Hawkins Street.

Monday, July 19

9:31 a.m A man was arrested on an active warrant during a suspicious vehicle investigation in the 5700 block of County Road 25.

11:34 a.m. A male inmate was cited on suspicion of second degree assault on a peace officer at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The man allegedly bit the officer’s finger and headbutted him.

4:48 p.m. A woman was remanded into police custody at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

8:19 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving while under restraint and open container in the area of County Road G.
