Thanks offered for help, care after accident

Editor:

Thanks to the Mancos Ambulance, Southwest Memorial Hospital, doctors and staff of the emergency room, intensive-care unit and second floor, as well as physical therapy and occupational therapy for the care I received after I fell and bashed my head.

To all of you who visited, some of you daily, brought me flowers and good wishes, and especially to a young man who was walking past my house with his nephew and his dog. All I remember is when he saw me he ran into the house, went to the refrigerator, grabbed a package of frozen fruit and put it to my head. It was a few minutes later when the Mancos EMTs arrived and whisked me off to the hospital. I want to say that I am fine and thank you to all.

If the young man who helped me reads this, please meet me at the bakery some Tuesday morning for coffee so I can say thanks in person.
