Aztec Ruins plans luminarias
Aztec Ruins National Monument, 84 County Road 2900 in Aztec, will host its annual Evening of Lights from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 19.
People may arrive by 4:45 p.m. to see the winter solstice alignment, and stop by between 5 and 8 p.m. to view the luminarias, lanterns, cultural demonstrators and refreshments. Park rangers will lead visitors from the visitor center to a winter solstice marker at 4:45 p.m. Luminarias will line the historic visitor center and electric lanterns will illuminate the archaeological site.
