Town board will discuss Boyle survey

The Mancos Town Board will discuss the need to have a Boyle Park surveyed at its meeting on Wednesday, July 23.

While the original deed includes a legal description of the boundaries of the park, the town has not had a professional boundary survey, and some of the pins or markers are missing. Trustee Will Stone expressed concern that the town was not taking advantage of the land deeded to the town.

The board directed town staff to obtain quotes for this surveying work. The town is trying to seek three bids, but has only heard from one company so far. Huddleston Surveying may survey the park for $600-$4,000, depending on the scope of the project.
