The Montezuma-Cortez school district will present the All-District Band Night at 7 p.m. April 30, at Montezuma-Cortez High School’s main gym. This year is the 50th anniversary of the first All-District Band Night in Cortez, and special activities are planned to commemorate the anniversary.

The concert will feature sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands, middle and high school jazz bands, the M-CHS Symphonic Winds, Mnoize and the first Alumni Band. Several former band directors also have been invited and will serve as guest conductors.

A silent auction with jazz music will be held before the concert. The auction will benefit the M-CHS Band Boosters. The Jazz Band and auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. Alumni interested in participating can visit www.cortezbands.com to sign up, print music and find rehearsal information. Anyone needing to borrow an instrument can contact Andrew Campo at acampo@cortez.k12.co.us or Katie Zdanowski at kzdanowski@cortez.k12.co.us.
