Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wow!
I stand amazed at the Back2School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 15. We were able to give more than 140 free backpacks with basic school supplies and 60 free haircuts to children kindergarten through fifth grade whose families are suffering economic hardship in the Cortez, Dolores and Mancos communities.
Thank you. first and foremost, to Jesus Christ! With Him all things are possible! Thank you: Community of Believers (CCRT), Evangel Assembly of God (Jeff McDonell), First Assembly of God (Ted Britain), First Baptist Church of Mancos (Rick Gregory), Lifeway Baptist (Marsha Roberts), the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Montelores Catholic Community (Mary Ganir), and the Seventh Day Adventist (Steve Gillham). None of this would have been possible without each of those pastors and their congregations. Thank you for hearing the call and desiring to share the love of Jesus.
Also a big thank you to Smart Styles: Christina Padilla, Kinsey Dennison, Jenna Gallegos, Krystin Charley. Hair Headquarters: Natalie Copp, and Pueblo Community College-Cosmotology: Brenda Maez, Debra Dodson Randall, Katie Meyer, Kelby Nunley, and Shilo Howell. Thank you, Brittany Forkner, for advertising on the local TV channel, and the Cortez Journal: Suzy Meyer, Mark Drudge, Sam Green, and Olivia Dombach, for our excellent graphic. Also, thank you Cheryl Dean, Antique Corral, for loaning us stools to use for haircuts, and last but not least, thank you to The Crow radio station.
We pray blessings over each of you for bringing your portion to the table to bless others. Again, I am just amazed! Advancing the Kingdom of God with You!
