Two juvenile Durango girls, abducted and brought here by two young men said to be named Tom and Wm. Davis, relate a tale of their harrowing experience.
The girls are students of Durango High School, and were accosted by the two young men, one of whom the girls knew, who asked them to ride around the block. Instead, the youths drove up the Dolores River, where the girls were abandoned to get home the best way they could. The girls, scratched and bruised with their clothing torn, made their way to Dolores, where they telephoned relatives in Durango, They were taken to Cortez, where they were met by friends and taken home.
Sheriffs of the several counties in Southwest Colorado are on the lookout for the Davis boys, and it is expected they will soon be apprehended. The Davis boys are said to be residents of the lower Animas section.
