As our county moves ahead with reopening, the statistics are encouraging on the surface. We have a very low infection rate and mortality rate.
Of course, the lack of systematic testing explains that. You may be tested if you meet the most urgent criteria. If not, forget it. How many people have died and been buried with no testing because they weren’t prioritized?
How many people don’t present for testing because they are afraid of exposure at the test site?
How many people are huddling at home, with symptoms, afraid to expose themselves?
