Cortez Public Library announces schedule of events

Cortez Public Library has announced a schedule of events through February 28.

Cortez Public Library will start off the new year by celebrating local talent in music and words in January and February.

6 p.m. Wednesday: Award-winning local author Chuck Greaves will lead a round-table discussion of “Church of the Graveyard Saints,” the Four Corners/One Book selection.

10 a.m. Jan. 21: The Bookworms: a special performance ensemble with Moe Cooley, Tomoe Natori and Mark Allen for Literary Tuesdays.

3-7 p.m. Feb. 12: Valentine’s Chocolate Fantasia fundraiser to help refurbish the Children’s Section. To donate a chocolate confection, call 565-8117.

5:30 p.m. Feb. 19: Cortez Library’s Books n’ Brews, Main Street Brewery.

6 p.m. Feb. 28: National bestselling author Pam Houston.
