Stoll Vaughan to kick off tour at WildEdge Tap Room

Stoll Vaughan will visit WildEdge Tap Room on Saturday.

Kentucky-born singer-songwriter Stoll Vaughan embarks on a trek through Colorado, Wyoming and Arizona, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at WildEdge Tap Room, 111 N. Market St in Cortez.

Armed with an acoustic guitar, harmonica and two dogs in an RV, Vaughan will snake his way up through the Rockies.

Stoll’s 2018 album, “The Conversation,” marks a return to his solo career after more than a decade of working with other artists.

Stoll Vaughan’s career in music began in the late 1990s, when he was recruited by Indiana punk-turned-heartland rock band Chamberlain on guitar.

By the mid 2000s, he had released two solo albums and was touring with the likes of John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Marty Stuart, Don Williams, James McMurtry and as a concert opener act on a Journey/Def Leppard national tour.

Vaughan then detoured into television and film, getting his songs featured in “True Blood,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Shameless.”

He also composed music for David Lynch’s Webby Award-winning documentary series “Interview Project.”

More recently, he co-wrote with Duane Betts and Devon Allman, the sons of Dickey Betts and Gregg Allman, for their debut record as The Allman Betts Band.

There is a $5 cover charge. For more information on Vaughan’s appearance at WildEdge Tap Room, visit www.facebook.com/events/575608342946412/.
