12:07 p.m. An arrest warrant was issued for a man on suspicion of harassment, criminal mischief, domestic violence and disorderly conduct in the 24000 block of County Road G.2. A man broke down a bathroom door and then left with the woman in the bathroom.

Wednesday, Feb. 24

8:18 a.m. Multiple storage units were broken into and items were stolen in the 23900 block of Colorado Highway 184.

4:19 p.m. A chain saw was stolen from a garage in the 200 block of North 19th Street.

Friday, Feb. 26

1:22 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 16800 block of County Road EE.

1:32 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 27700 block of Colorado Highway 145.

1:46 p.m. Three vehicle tires were punctured in the 24100 block of County Road L.

Saturday, Feb. 27

8:16 a.m. Fraud was reported in the 29200 block of County Road M. A man paid a company claiming to offer services for clearing his computer of viruses.

11:14 p.m. A man was cited on suspicion of third-degree assault in the 4200 block of U.S. Highway 160. He allegedly punched another man in the face and broke his nose.

Monday, March 1

3:52 p.m. Fraud was reported in the 300 block of North 15th Street. A man claiming to be an officer from Texas told the woman she was being investigated for money laundering and drug trafficking and insisted she give him her Social Security number, which she did.

Tuesday, March 2

9:40 a.m. A woman’s cat was shot and killed in the 5400 block of U.S. Highway 160.

10:15 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of his dogs running loose in the 15500 block of County Road 36.1.

Wednesday, March 3

8:36 a.m. A vehicle’s keys were reported stolen in the 25000 block of County Road H. The keys had been left in the vehicle overnight.

9:38 a.m. An officer found a bag containing a white powdery substance was found in the 25000 block of County Road H.

1:02 p.m. About 60 bales of hay were reported stolen in the 14400 block of County Road 20.

1:54 p.m. Unemployment fraud was reported in the 21200 block of County Road C.

2:25 p.m. Theft was reported in the 25300 block of County Road T.5. Fraudulent purchases were made on a man’s Amazon account.

Thursday, March 4

8:45 a.m. A man was remanded into custody on a warrant in the 800 block of North Park Street.

9 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of protection order violation and driving with a revoked license in the 300 block of North 15th Street.

1:56 p.m. A pit bull dog allegedly killed a cat and attacked several dogs in the 41300 block of County Road H. The dog was surrendered to the animal shelter.

2:55 p.m. A man was arrested in the parking lot of the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office. He allegedly broke out a woman’s vehicle window and was driving a stolen vehicle.

Friday, March 5

10:17 a.m. Animal cruelty was reported in the 15600 block of U.S. Highway 491. The claim was determined to be unfounded.

Saturday, March 6

11:23 a.m. A man was cited on suspicion of reckless driving in the 27000 block of County Road N.

2:06 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply and was cited on suspicion of violating bond conditions in the 7500 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday, March 9

7:18 a.m. Fraud was reported in the 100 block of Erik Drive. A person claimed to be with the Social Security Administration and attempted to gain a woman’s Social Security number.

11:38 a.m. A male inmate was served with seven warrants for failure to appear at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
