The dogs thoroughly enjoyed getting dressed up and going walking downtown every day. When it was time to get dressed, their eyes would light up with glee. Most of the dogs learned more manners while walking, and it got them out of the shelter for an hour every day.
All of them were adopted during the holidays making the “12 Strays of Christmas” a huge success. Quite a few cats and other dogs were also adopted during the holidays.
The shelter hopes that it raised awareness in the community about the animals at the shelter and that all animals that are in shelters aren’t “bad.” The Cortez Animal Shelter greatly appreciates all of the wonderful donors.
