Forest Service hires Durango supervisor

Colorado State Forest Service recently named longtime forester and wildland firefighter Mark Loveall as its Durango supervisory forester for forest planning and implementation in Southwest Colorado.

In his new position, Loveall will help manage the forest agriculture program, non-federal lands in the CSFS southwest area and Durango Field Office projects. Projects are typically held in Archuleta, Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan counties.

Loveall previously served as a forester for eight years at the La Veta Field Office.
