Citizens are supposed to be protected from takings by the 5th and 14th amendments in our Constitution, but in Colorado the courts have allowed takings of more than 90 percent of a private property owner’s value without just compensation for a regulatory taking. The situation in Colorado has become grossly out of alignment with federal intent and it needs fixing.
Please consider these long-standing precedents on takings and vote YES on Amendment 74! A takings of your right to develop your property to realize its full potential value by government over-regulation without your consent should be recognized and compensated.
