The Mesa Verde Back Country Horsemen will host a presentation by Wayne Schaaf on the history of his great aunt, Olga Little, at the Horsemen’s meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Elks Lodge, 2100 N. Dolores Road, in Cortez.
A buy-your-own dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation starts at 7 p.m. Olga Little was an extraordinary lady, putting in tremendous work to pack in supplies via horse/muleback to the mines above Hesperus and Durango. She also in turn packed out gold. Schaaf will show a recording of “This Is Your Life,” from a time past, featuring Olga Little. Schaaf also will share photos.
