Saturday, Oct. 7

5:12 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 1200 block of East Main Street on suspicion of failing to present proof of insurance, driving without a valid license and failing to obtain registration. His vehicle was towed due to lack of registration.

11:22 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 700 block of South Sligo Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge and on suspicion of driving under restraint.

Sunday, Oct. 8

1:59 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of East First Street on a warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, driving under restraint and displaying expired license plates.

9:09 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a vehicle break-in in the 600 block of North Harrison Street. A woman claimed someone had taken three keys, a phone charger, a first aid kit, a large canvas bag, a blanket and a pair of jumper cables from her unlocked vehicle. The case remains under investigation.

4:19 p.m.: Police responded to a report of found property in the 200 block of South Mildred Road. A woman claimed she had found a bicycle on the side of the road. It was not listed as stolen, and police were not able to immediately find the owner.

8:06 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 6100 block of U.S. Highway 160 on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge. A jail staff member reportedly tackled him to the ground during the booking process, and claimed the suspect had been throwing his clothes in his face.

11:27 p.m.: A woman was arrested at National 9 Motel, 301 W. Main St., on suspicion of disturbing the peace after witnesses claimed she had been kicking the door to a room and screaming at the occupants. Witnesses also claimed a man had pushed the woman into a motel window, breaking it, but the motel employees did not want to press charges against him. The woman was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

Monday, Oct. 9

10:31 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 200 block of East Seventh Street on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence and violating a protection order after witnesses claimed he had hit a woman who had a protection order against him, giving her a cut above her right eye. The woman was treated by medics but reportedly refused to go to the hospital.

2:15 p.m.: Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 700 block of Austin Street. A woman reported someone had scratched the letters “TYCKG” on her vehicle’s windows sometime after 8:15 the previous night. The case remains under investigation.

4:55 p.m.: A man was arrested at Mesa Verde Inn, 640 S. Broadway, on suspicion of destroying private property after his mother claimed he had threatened her and broken a microwave, valued at $59. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

9:16 p.m.: A woman turned herself in and was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge.

Tuesday, Oct. 10

12:09 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of East Montezuma Avenue on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass after a woman claimed someone had been living in a residence she was trying to sell. Responding officers found an exterior door damaged, with the doorknob removed. A large amount of trash and belongings, including bicycles and shopping carts, were found inside the residence. The suspect’s name reportedly matched the one on several receipts found in the residence. Police had contacted him in January regarding a trespass at the same residence.

10:20 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of South Broadway on suspicion of driving under restraint after he was pulled over for driving in the wrong direction.
