Thursday, April 3

10:12 p.m.: Officers responded to the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for a group of people sitting outside after hours. ​ A man was issued a summons for trespassing after being found to have been previously banned from the library.

​Wednesday, April 4 ​

1:19 p.m.: Officers responded to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve warrants on a man in custody for failure to appear. ​ Five warrants were served.

2:08 p.m.: Officers patrolling Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St., observed a man urinating on a tree. He was issued a summons for indecent exposure and told to leave the park for the day.

6:26 p.m.: Officers responded to the White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, for an alleged break-in. A man was issued a summons for destroying private property and banned from the location after damaging a door. ​

Thursday, April 5 ​

9:53 a.m.: Officers responded to Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., for a shoplifting incident. A man and woman were issued summonses for shoplifting and permanently banned from the store.

5:25 pm.: Officers responded to the Church of Christ, 631 E. Montezuma Ave., for a man blocking the front door. He was issued a summons for trespassing after being previously banned from the area earlier in the day.

5:48 p.m.: Officers responded to Mesa Park Apartments, 880 S. Chestnut St., for a protection order violation. ​ A man was arrested for violating a protection order and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center. ​

Friday, April 7 ​

6:32 a.m.: Officers responded to Subway, 1219 E. Main St., for a welfare check. ​ A man sleeping on the sidewalk was found to have a warrant and was arrested. ​

11:55 a.m.: Officers patrolling the 500 block of E. Arbecam Ave. observed a woman with a warrant enter a residence. ​ She was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center. ​

1:02 p.m.: Officers responded to the White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway, to serve a warrant on a man for failure to appear on an assault charge. He was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

1:52 p.m.: Officers patrolling 210 E. Main St. observed a man violating a protection order by speaking to a woman he was restrained from contacting. ​ He was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

5:17 p.m.: Officers responded to the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., for a man with active warrants. He was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center after receiving medical clearance due to suspected intoxication.

7:10 p.m.: Officers patrolling East Main Street and North Washington Street observed a man with a warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

Saturday, April 8 ​

8:39 a.m.: Officers responded to Road N for a warrant service. A man was arrested on three warrants and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

9:32 a.m.: Officers initiated a traffic stop at West Seventh Street and South Chestnut Street for a vehicle without a license plate. The driver was cited for driving without a license, no insurance, and no registration. ​ A passenger was arrested on a warrant and issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.

11:06 a.m.: Officers patrolling East Main St. and North Harrison Street observed a man with an active warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center after receiving medical clearance because due to suspected intoxication.

11:54 a.m.: Officers responded to Quality Inn, 1120 E. Main St., for a warrant service. ​ A woman was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:04 p.m.: Officers responded to 616 S. Beech St. for a warrant service. ​ A man was arrested on four warrants and transported to Montezuma County Detention Center.

11:06 a.m.: Officers responded to the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., for a warrant service. A man was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

2:04 p.m.: Officers responded to 1510 Mesa Verde St. for a warrant service. ​ A woman was arrested and transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

5:25 p.m.: Officers responded to City Market, 508 E. Main St., for an alleged shoplifting incident. A woman was issued a summons for shoplifting and released.

Sunday, April 9 ​

11:09 a.m. Officers responded to Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St., for a man asleep in the parking lot with an open container. He was issued summonses for open container and trespassing, and was issued a warning for having his dog with him.

2:25 p.m.: Officers responded to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve a warrant on a man for failure to appear on a traffic offense.

6:31 p.m.: A deputy patrolling near Front Row Seat, 610 E. Main St., observed a man and a woman sitting against the building after hours, against the owners' request. The woman was found to have a warrant. After her arrest, the woman provided a BrAC of .163. .
