Police seek information or video footage from public
The area in which the Farmington Police Department is investigating a homicide.

The Farmington Police Department is investigating a Wednesday morning homicide in the area of North Auburn Avenue and West Navajo Street.

“I can confirm that it happened in that area,” said Shanice Gonzales, police spokeswoman. “We are investigating a homicide and will provide more information when it becomes available.”

Police stated on the department’s social media that the suspect was believed to have left the area around 9 a.m., and was “last seen heading eastbound near Auburn Avenue and Navajo Street.”

Police are seeking assistance from residents in the area, who might have “video footage” or information to assist in the investigation. Anyone who might assist can call non-emergency dispatch at (505) 334-6622.
