2:01 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:24 p.m. After a brief foot chase, a man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting beer from City Market, 508 E. Main St.
4:43 p.m. Two men were arrested near the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St., on suspicion of disturbing the peace. One of the men allegedly poured water on a sleeping man and both reportedly hit the man when he woke up.
5:42 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and trespassing after allegedly refusing to leave West Slope Liquors, 2212 E. Main St., and urinating inside the store. She was banned from the store. After providing a breath sample of BRAC 0.312, she was medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
7:17 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest. The man was located at Tomahawk Hotel, 728 S. Broadway. He has a protection order stating he is not to be within 100 yards of one of the rooms at the hotel.
8:57 a.m. A man was arrested on South Valley Road on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he cannot possess or consume alcoholic beverages.
11:58 a.m. A man was issued a summons for trespassing. He was located in the parking lot of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., where he is banned.
2:31 p.m. A man was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
3:54 p.m. A man was arrested near Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St., on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, owner operated uninsured motor vehicle, drove motor vehicle when license suspended, failing to signal as required and violation a protection order that states he shall not possess or consume alcoholic beverages.
4:20 p.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of protection order violation, first-degree criminal trespass and possessing a dangerous or illegal weapon after being located at a home on Elm Street where he is banned. After police arrived, he was found to be in possession of alcohol, marijuana, three large knives and brass knuckles.
6:22 p.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant near City Market, 508 E. Main St., and served a summons for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. An officer found nine tooter straws, six unused syringes and suspected meth in her bag.
7:25 a.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at Speedway, 921 E. Main St.
7:18 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St., where he is banned.
10:56 p.m. A woman was arrested near Handymart, 806 S. Broadway, on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, owner operated uninsured motor vehicle and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle.
5:30 a.m. A woman was cited for disturbing the peace at Tawi Kaan Apartments, 560 E. Empire St., after allegedly throwing items at her window. Some of the discarded items were reported to be “masturbatory devices.”
9:25 a.m. A woman was arrested near the Cortez Rec Center, 425 N. Roger Smith Ave., on suspicion of a protection order violation and third-degree criminal trespass. The woman is banned from all city parks and has a protection order that states she must not possess or consume alcohol.
3:04 p.m. A man was arrested near Cortez Copy & Print, 24 S. Washington St., on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he cannot possess or consume alcohol. After being medically cleared, he was transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center where he provided a breath sample of BRAC 0.280.
3:42 p.m. A man was cited for disturbing the peace at Tawi Kaan Apartments, 560 E. Empire St. The man was reportedly “irate” that he had found a sex toy outside his apartment and disrupted a child’s birthday party in the lobby to show attendees photos of the toy.
9:54 a.m. A man was arrested at McDonald’s, 1322 E. Main St., on a warrant. At the Montezuma County Detention Center, he was also issued a citation for trespassing due to being seen at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., earlier in the day. He is banned from Safeway.
12:38 p.m. A man was arrested at Tawi Kaan Apartments, 560 E. Empire St., on suspicion of third-degree assault. The man allegedly tried to show another man a photo of a “dildo” he had seen outside of the apartment and became upset when the man didn’t want to see the photo. He allegedly punched the other man five or six times and left the scene. He was later located at the lobby.
8:27 p.m. An employee of Liquid Assets, 718 E. Main St., contacted police for suspected shoplifting. The male suspect was not located by police.
10:49 a.m. A man was arrested on two warrants near the 1500 block of East Main Street.
2:04 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply for trespassing at White Eagle Inn, 2110 S. Broadway.
3:11 p.m. A man was arrested on two warrants on North Washington Avenue. and East Arbecam Avenue.
10:49 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol. Prior to her arrest, police responded to Burger King, 320 S. Pine St., where a man told them he had been assaulted by the woman. Another man claimed that the first man had head butted him. Because of conflicting stories, no citations for assault were given.
11:30 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant near Burger Boy, 400 E. Main St.
2:40 p.m. A man was arrested on East Montezuma Avenue on suspicion of violating his protection order, which states he cannot possess or consume alcohol. He provided a breath sample of BRAC 0.300. After being medically cleared, he was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
5:58 p.m. A man was arrested on South Pine Street on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer. An officer responded to South Pine Street after a call requesting an officer. A male and female could be heard arguing on the line. As he arrived, the man allegedly walked “aggressively” toward the officer, throwing his jacket at him and speaking profanely. At the jail, the man provided a breath sample of BRAC 0.189.
