6:31 p.m. A woman was cited with trespassing after being located at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., where she is banned. She was transported to The Bridge Emergency Shelter.
7:18 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road, after requesting a a courtesy ride.
8:02 p.m. A man was cited with unlawful possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on South Beech Street.
10:57 p.m. A man was served a warrant and cited for open container near the Cortez Apartments on East Empire Street. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
12:45 p.m. A man was cited for disturbing the peace after starting an illegal fire in a burn barrel within city limits, yelling at his neighbors and breaking items on Montelores Avenue.
9:08 a.m. A man and woman were seen on home video footage damaging mailboxes in the middle of the night on South Chestnut Street. Police recognized the woman from the footage and said she will be cited for criminal mischief. They were unable to identify the male.
12:07 p.m. A man was arrested on six warrants near Safeway, 1580 E. Main St.
1:54 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant at Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N. Mildred Road.
7:06 p.m. A man turned himself in to police on three warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
8:32 p.m. A woman was arrested on two warrants during a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. The traffic stop occurred because the vehicle’s amber lights not being illuminated. The driver turned on the lights after the traffic stop. The driver and two other male passengers weren’t cited.
8:12 a.m. A woman was arrested on a warrant near La Casita, 332 E. Main St.
8:26 a.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
2:01 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant in the 400 block of East Main Street.
3:56 p.m. A man was served two warrants at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
5:50 p.m. A man was arrested on a warrant after police responded to a residence on West Seventh Street because of concerns of a verbal disturbance between a man and a woman. It was determined that no verbal disturbance had occurred. After being medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital, the man was taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
10:55 a.m. A man was arrested and served with two La Plata County warrants after a brief foot chase near the Baymont Inn and Suites, 2279 Hawkins St.
4:40 p.m. A man was cited for criminal mischief less than $300 and domestic violence after allegedly breaking his girlfriend’s car window after an altercation. When police arrived, he was sitting in the vehicle. After giving a breath sample of BRAC 0.313, he was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
5:28 p.m. A man was cited for violation of bond conditions that stipulate he cannot consume alcohol after allegedly drinking alcohol at Thai Cortez, 1430 E. Main St. Thai Cortez staff called police and asked that the man be asked to leave. He was given a courtesy ride to another location.
4:23 p.m. A woman was served a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:47 p.m. A woman was cited for a protection order violation (cannot possess of consume alcohol) and arrested on two warrants at a residence on Fourth Street. An anonymous caller reported the woman’s whereabouts to police. After submitted a breath sample of BRAC 0.365, the woman was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital to be medically cleared before being transported to the Montezuma County Detention Center.
