11:57 a.m. An officer cited a man with shoplifting and trespassing at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.

2:27 p.m. An officer cited a woman with trespassing at the Cortez Public Library, 202 N. Park St.

6:31 p.m. An officer arrested a man on three warrants who was turning himself into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Dec. 6

12:37 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, and failure to drive in a single lane at Denny’s 2059 E. Main St.

10:56 a.m. An officer arrested a man with six warrants at 806 S. Oak St.

1:49 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant near the Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.

10:20 p.m. An officer served and arrested a woman who was turning herself into the custody on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Saturday, Dec. 7

2:35 p.m. An officer cited a man with indecent exposure after report of a man urinating in the middle of the road was made in the 500 block of E. 2nd St. A woman he was with was also cited with indecent exposure after the officer was waved down by a woman in the 300 block of E. Second St., who shared with the officer video footage of the woman urinating on her truck tire.

Sunday, Dec. 8

12:36 a.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of harassment, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer and disorderly conduct at JC Pets, 24 N. Madison St.

3:17 p.m. An officer cited a man with a protection order violation and resisting arrest at the Cortez Mobile Estates, 621 N. Elm St.

9:20 p.m. An officer responding to an unwanted person call arrested a woman on a warrant and served her a trespass notice from Safeway at the Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway.

Monday, Dec. 9

9:55 a.m. An officer served and arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

11:29 a.m. An officer conducting a routine traffic stop arrested a woman on a warrant and cited her with failing to present proof of insurance, driving without a valid license and displaying expired tags at Slavens True Value Hardware, 237 W. Main St.

9:48 p.m. An officer responding to a suspected DUI report arrested a woman on suspicion of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more and displaying expired registration in the 900 block of Livesay Drive.

11:27 p.m. An officer responding to the report of an active domestic violence situation arrested a man on suspicion of violating three active protection orders. One states that there is to be no contact, no exceptions and it is a condition of a felony bond. The other two court orders state the man can have non-harassing contact with the woman at the Rust Trailer Park, 621 N. Elm St. The officer’s report states he found the man hiding in a closet, and noted that the number of calls of disturbance and domestic violence calls between the couple has increased noticeably and he feared for the woman’s safety.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

11:03 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant and cited him with charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft of more than $300 and less than $1000, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia, the officer also served the man with an insurance affidavit and a notice of suspension for his license at the 21 E. 13th St.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

3:52 a.m. An officer responding to a 911 call from a woman at 806 S. Oak St., arrested a woman on a protection order violation. The woman gave responding officers a false name and admitted she was restrained from a man who was at the residence who tried to flee from the back door.
