Remember Pearl Harbor Day

The Daughters of the American Revolution; Sleeping Ute Mountain Chapter of Montezuma County would like to ask people to take a moment to remember Pearl Harbor Day, Dec. 7, 1941. Survivors of that fateful morning of the Japanese attack are dwindling.

The mission of the DAR is historic preservation, education and patriotism. We do not promote a specific political party. If you are a woman interested in community projects that further the above objectives, please join our chapter. We welcome ways to feature important events in history.

On Friday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 5 p.m., we will be outside City Market selling delicious baked goods and providing information on Pearl Harbor Day, the DAR organization and how our chapter supports the community.
