Wednesday, Dec. 14

4:18 p.m. A man was issued a summons in Cortez City Park for an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park.

4:46 p.m. A man was arrested for felony menacing on Highway 491 near Road U after reportedly threatening another man with a rifle in front of Southwest Memorial Hospital. The man was found with a black BB gun in the front seat of his car.

6:03 p.m. A police officer responded to the parking lot of City Market after a woman reported that a man had damaged her car with a shopping cart and then aggressively denied having done so. No arrests were made.

11:05 p.m.: A man was arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., for violating bond conditions that prohibited him from consuming alcohol. Earlier, the man reportedly had been acting belligerently at The Bridge shelter.

Thursday, Dec. 15

12:36 a.m.: A man was arrested at the Giant store, 921 E. Main St., on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se, and disregarding a stop sign, then released in the care of his mother.

12:36 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of W. Second St. on suspicion of DWAI, possessing an open bottle of alcohol in a motor vehicle, underage consumption of alcohol, and driving on the wrong side of the road. He was released in the custody of his mother.

9:07 a.m.: A woman was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

1:28 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road.

3:12 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 800 block of E. Main St. on suspicion of third-degree assault after a fight was reported near the Cortez Welcome Center.

4:33 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of W. Fifth St. after driving into a fence while transporting his daughter. He was cited with DUI, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, abusing toxic vapors, reckless driving, and child abuse.
