As a veteran of the Vietnam War (Navy 1969), I cannot understand how any military veteran can support Donald Trump. His comments about veterans being “suckers” and “losers” for giving their lives for their country is beyond contempt.
What rational person would choose him for commander in chief of the armed forces? I’ve spoken to several of his supporters who say, “Well, he is way out of line on this issue or that one but I still like his policies so I will swallow hard and support him.” Taken together there are too many of those “yeah, buts,” and with his repeated denigration of self-sacrificing veterans he has shown his true contempt for any real patriots out there who just go about their daily lives.
If you cannot vote for his opponent, refuse to vote this time and don’t give him the support he so richly does not deserve. War veterans, war dead and war wounded including my brothers deserve better.
