A roughly 300-pound bear was captured in Mancos on Wednesday.

It’s the second large male bear to be removed from the town in the past three weeks, said Town Marshal Justen Goodall.

Both were caught next to the Mancos School Dumpsters by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Mancos Town Marshal. Both bears have been safely released into the wild.
