Both Democrat and Republican candidates will be there
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m., the public has opportunity to ask candidates from around the state questions at a “Meet the Candidates” event.
It’s free to attend and will be in the Montezuma County Annex Building at 107 N. Chestnut St. in Cortez.
Eighteen candidates from both parties are expected to be there, fielding questions after initial introductions.
The San Juan Basin Farm Bureau is putting it on, as they have for years now.
They’ve been working on it since July, and hope people come out and ask the candidates politically-pointed and relevant questions as the election approaches.
They’ll have coffee, lemonade and cookies at the event.
