Community Calendar: What’s happening in the Cortez area

The Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez will be the initial meeting spot for the Free Ranger-led Tours of Yucca House National Monument, on Sunday, Oct. 6 and Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. Registration is required to visit the site, it is one of many Anasazi village sites located within Montezuma County which is said to have been occupied between 1100 and 1300.
