Friday, Sept. 6

12:36 p.m. A deputy cited two inmates in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., with harassment. One was reported to have instigated the altercation by repeatedly taunting the other with racial slurs, and the other inmate reportedly spit on the instigating inmate.

Thursday, Sept. 12

2:41 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 9506 Road 29.1.

Friday, Sept. 13

3:32 p.m. A deputy took a report for a firearm surrender from a man at 38751 Road H, Mancos. The report states the firearms were placed into evidence to be destroyed.

Saturday, Sept. 14

12:12 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant at 29148 Road J.6.

3:11 p.m. An officer took a report for a man menacing with a firearm at 19860 Road U. 6, Lewis. The report was deemed unfounded

Sunday, Sept. 15

5:17 p.m. A deputy took a report for a structure fire at 24720 Road L. The deputy’s report states that a shed/barn on the residence was entirely engulfed by flames and possibly started by a welding machine that was being used that was in the structure.

Monday, Sept. 16

7:41 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence and third-degree assault at 6275 Road 24.2.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

3:47 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, DUI per se and open alcohol container in a vehicle at 16659 Colorado Highway 145, Dolores.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

11:21 a.m. A deputy served a warrant to a man who was transported into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:28 a.m. A deputy took a report for a suspected protection order violation by a woman who was contacting an inmate in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The inmate is a protected party in a protection order that states there shall be no contact with no exceptions. The deputy’s report states he would be seeking a warrant for the woman.

Thursday, Sept. 19

11:38 a.m. A deputy took a report for property that was turned in by the owner of the property and after multiple attempts to give the property back to the woman she refused to take it and the deputy entered it into evidence to be destroyed.

1:51 p.m. A deputy arrested a man who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

3:38 p.m. A deputy served warrants to a woman who was transported into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

Friday, Sept. 20

2:54 p.m. A deputy took a report for a found wallet, a small pocket knife, a cellphone, and two coins at Joe Rowell Park, 94 Central Ave., Dolores.

4:22 p.m. A deputy arrested and served a warrant to a woman who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

10:19 p.m. A deputy took a report for a drunken driver, who was arrested on three warrants in the 18000 block of Colorado Highway 145, Dolores.

Saturday, Sept. 21

1:24 a.m. A deputy took a report for his role at a traffic accident as a cover officer for the Colorado State Patrol in the 22000 block of Road L.

9:44 p.m. A deputy arrested a man on suspicion of DUI, careless driving and driving 97 mph in a 65 mph zone in the 13000 block of Road 26, Dolores.

Monday, Sept. 23

9:47 a.m. A deputy took a report for a stolen license plate from a woman in the 23800 block of Road N. The woman reported that she was receiving parking tickets for the stolen license plate that was accruing parking tickets in Denver.

12:28 p.m. A deputy took a report for fraud by wire from a man at 40095 U.S. Highway 160. The man states in the report that he had sent a woman $1,026.13 for an item on a gun website then received an email that stated no to send any money to the woman.
