Thursday, Feb. 25

4:57 p.m.: An officer served a warrant to a woman at the Montezuma County jail who had been extradited from Texas.

Friday, Feb. 26

2:39 p.m.: A woman reported that her purse had been stolen at City Market.

3:05 p.m.: A woman reported a theft that had occurred in Dolores. Police helped her contact a deputy, then arrested her on an outstanding warrant from Durango Municipal Court.

3:46 p.m.: An officer served warrants to three people incarcerated at the Montezuma County jail.

3:47 p.m.: A man was arrested at RMOMS, in the 200 block of N. Linden St., for violating bond conditions by consuming alcohol.

Saturday, Feb. 27

12:40 a.m.: An officer on patrol questioned a man and woman quarreling in the Angel’s End Zone parking lot, and arrested the man on the basis of two unconfirmed felony warrants from Moffat County and issued him a summons for violating a protection order.

2:32 a.m.: A driver near W. Main St. and S. Broadway was issued summonses for driving while ability impaired, failing to use a turn signal, and failing to drive in a single lane. He was released in the custody of his mother.

3:08 a.m.: A woman in the 1300 block of Mesa Verde St. was issued a summons for disturbing the peace after a neighbor complained of loud music and screaming.

10:10 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a vandalized van in the 10 block of E. Montezuma Ave.

7:02 p.m.: An officer responded to a call of a disturbance at W. Main and S. Chestnut streets and arrested one of two men on suspicion of felony menacing and disorderly conduct.

7:44 p.m.: A man was arrest at the Cortez Rec Center on suspicion of trespassing and possessing an open container of alcohol.

10:38 p.m.: A woman was observed driving the wrong way on S. Beech St., and was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving the wrong way on a one-way street, driving with a suspended license, DUI and driving with a BAC of .08.

Sunday, Feb. 28

8:34 p.m.: A driver in the 100 block of W. Main St. was pulled over and arrested on an outstanding warrant and for displaying a fictitious license plate, driving with a suspended license, and failing to provide proof of insurance.

Monday, Feb. 29

6:47 a.m.: An officer responded to a domestic disturbance call at Colorado West trailer Park in the 1400 block of N. Mildred Road and arrested a woman on suspicion of criminal mischief after she allegedly broke another woman’s cellphone.

11:47 p.m.: An officer questioned a man walking along the 100 block of S. Linden St. and arrested him on two outstanding warrants and suspicion of violating bond conditions and a pretrial order by consuming alcohol.

Tuesday, march 1

8:22 a.m.: A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 800 block of E. Main St.

11:42 a.m.: A man suspected of kicking and hitting a door to a residence in Happy Valley Trailer Park was found hiding in the cab of a pickup truck and arrested on suspicion of underage alcohol consumption.

1:02 p.m.: A woman in the parking lot of the Cortez Public Library was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

1:09 p.m.: A man inside the Cortez Public Library was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2:28 p.m.: A driver on E. Main St. was pulled over and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

6:23 p.m.: A man involved in a fight at Cortez City Park was arrested on suspicion of underage alcohol consumption and violating a bond condition.

11:08 p.m.: A police officer questioned two male pedestrians walking in a parking lot in the 10 block of S. Chestnut St. and arrested one on two outstanding warrants.
