2:50 a.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal violation of a protection order and harassment at 503 S. Linden St. The officer also arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment after a caller reported the couple were in an active physical altercation.
8:05 p.m. A woman with two warrants being transported into the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., from another facility.
1:36 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was reportedly pushing a shopping cart full of trash and flipping off drivers at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St.
7:26 p.m. An officer served two warrants to a woman in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
11:59 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence at the Welcome Center, 928 E. Main St. As a woman sat on the ground crying and bleeding from her mouth and nose, a man yelled to the officer, “Over here officer, she has alcohol in her backpack.”
6:25 a.m. An officer arrested a man with three prior convictions for dangerous drugs on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence, a misdemeanor unlawful possession of a controlled substance for one fentanyl pill, and felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 201 Rolling Road. The officer stated in his report that the man claimed the pills found on his person belonged to a woman who stated to the officer that they were arguing for most of the night and that the man assaulted her by “grabbing her and biting her nose.” The officer reported seeing “what appeared to be bite marks on her nose … consistent with human teeth.” The officer states one fentanyl pill and 65 Xanax pills were found on the man, and his roommates all stated they heard the couple arguing but didn’t witness the incident.
8:37 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at 210 E. Main St.
12:17 p.m. A man was cited with trespassing at the Speedway, 921 E. Main St., after a report that a man who had been trespassed in July was in the convenience store. The officer stated he located the man across the street and the man “was holding a hot dog and fountain drink that were both in Speedway containers.”
6:05 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of second-degree assault on a peace officer, protection order violation and resisting arrest at 30 N. Ash St. The officer arrested a woman the officer saw in the man’s company before his interaction with him. The woman was thrown a white drawstring bag by the man and left in a different direction. According to the officer’s report, she was located in the Methodist Thrift Shop parking lot. The woman was arrested on suspicion of violating an alcohol protection order.
11:11 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of third-degree assault at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St. A witness reported seeing the man kick a man repeatedly in the face and head, and the officer’s report states the suspect had visible blood on his shoe, pant and shirt.
3:38 a.m. A man was arrested on suspicion of DWAI, driving without a valid license, possessing an open alcohol container, and weaving in the 1000 block of E. Main St.
7:07 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of unlawful distribution of more than 7 grams and less than 112 grams of meth, unlawful distribution of more than 4 grams but less than 50 grams of fentanyl, two counts of unlawful possession of less than 4 grams of a controlled substance for both illegal substances, DUID, failing to present proof of insurance, and careless driving in the 1300 block of N. Dolores Road. The man was the single passenger of a car crash. “The vehicle appeared to be southbound and left the travel lane, colliding with a retaining wall, and coming to a final rest in the center lane. There was severe damage to the front right area of the vehicle and the vehicle was clearly disabled. It appears as if all the air bags in the vehicle went off,” an officer said. The report mentioned that the callers reporting the crash advised the male was acting strange and aggressive.
7:51 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of violating a protection order that states she shall not possess or consume alcohol or illegal substances at Oak Meadows Trailer Park, 405 W. Seventh St.
8:23 p.m. An officer performing a routine traffic stop at the Mountain View Trailer Park, 815 S. Chestnut St., cited a man with failing to present proof of insurance, driving a motor vehicle when license was under restraint (revoked), failing to signal as required, driving a vehicle when safety belts were not in use, failing to signal when required, displaying expired number plates, operating a vehicle with unsafe tires, and having no registration card in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed because of the state of the tires, no proof of insurance, expired registration, and neither occupant of the vehicle was licensed to drive.
1:45 a.m. An officer arrested a man at the Maverick Country Store, 455 N. State St., on suspicion of violating a protection order that states he shall not consume or possess alcohol. The officer states in his report that the shoeless man reached into the front of his shorts and pulled out a black plastic bag containing three full Lemon Lime 99 Brand 50ml shooter bottles and dropped it on the ground near the spot where the man had urinated on the sidewalk and next to a lone full Lemon Lime 99 Brand 50ml shooter bottle.
2:07 a.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of felony menacing at 806 S. Oak St. The report states witnesses reported the man as yelling and waving a handgun around interrogating people at the property accusing several people of stealing his missing gas cans.
10:22 a.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant who was remanded by the Montezuma County Combined Courts, 835 N. Park St.
7:55 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of open container, littering, and possession of alcohol in the park at Veterans Park, 830 E. Main St.
12:42 p.m. An officer served two warrants to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
8:08 p.m. An officer took a report for an incident that took place on June 24 about 2:28 a.m. in the 700 block of S. Oak St. The police report described an incident where a man was thrown out of a white vehicle and bleeding severely from his head. A woman who originally claimed she knew nothing about the incident was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence, and violation of a protection order where the victim was named as the protected. The officer stated he would seek an arrest warrant for another man involved in the incident for second-degree assault.
7:56 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on a warrant near the City Pool, 803 E. Montezuma Ave.
1:40 p.m. An officer arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence and harassment at the Days Inn, 2604 E. Main St.
2:57 p.m. An officer arrested a man on a warrant at the Cozy Inn, 440 S. Broadway.
5:14 p.m. An officer arrested a woman on suspicion of violating an alcohol protection order at the Cortez Mobile Estates, 621 N. Elm St.
