Suckla trails Roeber in Colorado House District 58; Hurd wins U.S. House seat
Larry Don Suckla pulled out to a big early lead Tuesday in the Montezuma County race for Colorado representative in District 58, with 78% of the vote to J. Mark Roeber’s 22%, but Roeber led in the district.
In the race for the U.S. House seat vacated by Rep. Lauren Boebert, The Associated Press called the race for Jeff Hurd. He had secured 42% of the 75,000 ballots counted across the district. Former state Rep. Ron Hanks, the most far right of the six candidates, was in second with 28% of the votes.
