Empire Electric Association members should consider voting for Bill Mollenkopf, representing District 4, at the June 20, annual meeting. It was my privilege to work with Bill for 20 of the 28 years I was general manager of the cooperative.
In my opinion, Bill exceeded the tenets of the board policy that says a director shall act in good faith with the care an ordinarily prudent person in a like position would reasonably believe, appropriate under similar circumstances. This would be done in a manner reasonably believed to be in the cooperative’s best interest, and with independent and informed judgment.
I came to highly respect Bill and his ability to discharge his duties as a director. He was an active and informed participant, who studied the issues and asked tough questions before he voted.
