8:31 a.m. A deputy took a report for a found trifold wallet at 275 S Spruce St. in Mancos.
3:09 a.m. A deputy took a report for a possible assault from a man at 25579 Road F. When investigating that call, the officer received conflicting information from both the reporting and suspected parties. Both refused to cooperate with investigators.
8:41 p.m. A deputy took a report for a disturbance between sisters in which one woman’s arm was slammed in between a door frame and door at 21001 Road 38. No charges were filed.
10:39 p.m. A deputy initiating a traffic stop for a vehicle driving on Broadway with only one lighted headlight arrested a man who said, “I believe I have a warrant, can I park my vehicle and have someone come get it.” The man had two warrants for failure to appear and was taken into custody at 525 N. Broadway.
7:47 p.m. A deputy took a report for a civil problem from a woman in the 100 block of Erik Dr. The woman was issued a 90-day trespass notice from her parent’s property, as there was too many variations of her claims of a crime that happened and she was reportedly highly intoxicated.
8:02 p.m. A deputy was requested for an agency assist for the Colorado State Patrol in a DUI investigation where a man was arrested for DUI for drugs and a warrant at 5000 Road 25.
10:47 p.m. A man reported he thought another man had placed his hand on his shoulder and yelled threats at him at the Family Dollar, 1009 Railroad Ave in Dolores. The deputy reviewed footage and saw it was only a verbal dispute between the two men, but the suspect had a warrant for failure to appear. The suspect was found and arrested.
6:55 a.m. A deputy filed a report for a request for a warrant after receiving information regarding a man who failed to register as a sex offender after being released in November from the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St. The warrant was approved by a judge.
7 p.m. A deputy provided the Colorado State Patrol with an agency assist with an investigation of a single-car accident at 16509 Colorado Highway 145 in Dolores.
11:33 p.m. A deputy filed a report for a reported robbery and assault in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 160. The inconsistency in all parties recollection of events and obvious accusations of wrongdoing from the opposing parties, no charges were pressed or filed against any of the individuals involved.
11:01 a.m. A deputy took a report of fraud from a man in the 29500 block of Road W.
7:19 p.m. A deputy served a witness/victim retaliation warrant to a man in the custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
7:53 a.m. A deputy issued summons to a man for violating the following financial responsibility, drove vehicle without valid drivers license, speed limits 82 mph in a 65 mph zone at 2000 U.S. Highway 160.
2:43 p.m. A woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespassing at the Baymont Hotel Cortez, 2279 Hawkins St., after multiple reports of disturbances coming from the room she was occupying were made to law enforcement. A man who was hiding between a mattress and box springs also was arrested for violating an alcohol protection order.
2:19 a.m. A deputy filed a report in which he states witnessing a vehicle speeding in the 2000 block of Colorado Highway 145 the vehicle was headed westbound through a stop sign on Road M then out of his sight; as the deputy activated his emergency lights to respond he arrived upon the suspected driver walking away from her vehicle that she crashed into a gas line near an intersection. EMS and the Fire Department were called to the scene and the Colorado State Patrol was called to investigate the crash.
5:31 a.m. A deputy arrested a man on a warrant in the 4500 block of U.S. Highway 160. The man was seen on surveillance video on the property taking a blanket that was on the porch, he was given warm clothes and the blanket from the property owners then trespassed and taken to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
