Trinadie Lopez, arrested in an investigation of a street shooting in Cortez in September, on Tuesday received a date for a plea hearing.

His plea hearing will take place March 12 at 10 a.m. in 22nd Judicial District Court.

At the beginning of January, Lopez’s attorney Richard Jaye requested that Lopez’s preliminary demand be pushed off in favor of a polygraph test.

The date of the test was not announced, and the results of the polygraph have not been made public as of this writing, but according to Jaye in January, they might not need a preliminary hearing if the polygraph went as expected.

Lopez turned himself into police in October when his warrant went public after the September shooting on Empire and Market Streets. The shooting, which allegedly targeted Noah Farrar, severely injured 18-year-old bystander Josilyn Mark.

So far, all suspects in the case have been arrested and appeared in court, except for one minor who is being sought by police.

Those with upcoming court appearances include Delsin Freeman and Demetrius Adams.

Adams will have his felony dispositional hearing on Thursday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. The dispositional hearing was originally scheduled for Feb. 8 but was moved to March.

Freeman will have his preliminary hearing on Friday, March 29 at 1:30 p.m.
