A Farmington man, who was last seen April 30, was found dead Wednesday afternoon.

Ervin Foster, 64, was reported missing May 2. Farmington Police sought help in locating him on social media. He was found dead at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Southside River Road.

Farmington Police responded to the location. Foster was discovered “near a water-filled ditch north of the roadway,” police spokesperson Shanice Gonzales wrote in a news release.

Police updated social media at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday saying Foster had been located.

His body was turned over to the Office of the Medical Investigator for an autopsy, and officials there will work with Farmington police detectives to determine a cause of death.

This is the second body found by Farmington police in less than a month. The other body was a woman discovered April 9 in Berg Park. Details surrounding her death and her identity have not been released by police.

Both incidents remain under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance and death of Foster is encouraged to call the Farmington Police Detective Division Tipline at (505) 599-1068.
